Kalamazoo FC is proud to announce the signing of two more Northeastern Junior College standouts, who, like recent signing Paul Liagre, are also from France. The first of the two signings is Jean Carre, he will be joining the Kalamazoo FC NPSL side this summer.
Carre hails from Lille, France where he played for academy side Lille OSC. Carre (Ligue 1), a freshman at Northeastern Junior College in Colorado, appeared in 17 games for the Plainsmen and tailed six assists. Jean was named to the Region IX Second Team and All-Tournament Team.

Q – What was your soccer experience like before coming to the United States?
A – I joined LOSC (a professional club playing in the First League in France) when I was eight years old. I stayed 11 years with the club as a right defender sometimes as a left defender. I played in the U19 National Game until last year in the spring. In our conference, we had PSG, Caen, Le Havre, Lens and Valenciennes. These teams are in the northern part of France.
Q – What do you know about Kalamazoo and the state of Michigan?
A – I have never been to Michigan but I am very excited to discover Kalamazoo and the state of Michigan
Arthur Prunis is our third player from NJC and France. He grew up in Reims, playing with academy side Stade Rennais FC (Ligue 1). With Stade Rennais he was a part of a team that won the National Championship at the U19 level. Prunis, a freshman, played at Northeastern Junior College in Colorado where he appeared in 16 matches with one assist on the year.

Q – Can you talk about why you came to the United States?
A – I came to the United States because I had the opportunity to receive several offers through an agency for footballers in a training center. I also came to America in order to obtain a diploma and be able to be drafted into the MLS.
Q – What made you decide to play for Kalamazoo FC?
A – I decided to play for Kalamazoo FC because my coach put me in touch with the head coach Brian Clements. He explained to me his ways of managing the group for this summer and the ambitions he had. His speech convinced me so I decided to join Kalamazoo FC.
