The second signing of the 2018 season for Head Coach Brian Clements is center back Jonathan (JD) Nord. The defender stands at 6′ 5″ and has been involved in the Kalamazoo soccer community his whole life. JD played club soccer for TKO, coached by team owner Mike Garrett, and at Plainwell High School. Upon graduation from HS, and for the past four years, JD has been playing under former KZFC Head Coach Shabazz at Kalamazoo College. JD and his family have also assisted with the set up and break down of almost every home game for the past two season. We here at Kalamazoo FC are extremely excited to sign a player who has been so dedicated to the Kalamazoo soccer community.
JD is a powerful defender who played in 67 games at Kalamazoo College. He was awarded MIAA Academic Honor Roll in 2014, 2015 & 2016. JD now graduated from K College will join KZFC for the summer but has ambitious to land a job in Sport Management this upcoming fall.
